London is the spiritual home of transit deduction games. With the world's oldest underground railway, 11 Tube lines, the Overground, and the high-speed Elizabeth Line, London offers an unbeatable canvas for tactical hide-and-seek.

Recommended London Playable Borders

  • TfL Zones 1 & 2 (Classic 3-4 Hour Game): From Camden and Finsbury Park in the north down to Brixton and Greenwich in the south, and from Notting Hill in the west to Stratford in the east. Hiding countdown: 45-60 minutes.
  • The Central London Sprint (Zone 1 Only, 90-120 Minutes): High station density, quick walking transfers between lines, and endless hiding parks (Hyde Park, Regent's Park, St James's).
  • The Greater London Elizabeth Line Challenge (Full-Day Game): Expanding out into Zone 3-4, allowing the Elizabeth Line (Paddington to Abbey Wood or Stratford) to transport seekers across town at 60 mph.

Key Tactical Transit Stations

  • King's Cross St. Pancras: Interchange for 6 Tube lines (Circle, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan, Northern, Piccadilly, Victoria).
  • Waterloo: Massive South London hub with the Bakerloo, Jubilee, Northern, and Waterloo & City lines.
  • Bank–Monument: Intricate multi-line complex connecting the Central, Northern, and DLR networks.
  • Stratford: East London's super-hub linking Central, Jubilee, DLR, Overground, and Elizabeth Line.

London Strategic Tactics

1. The North/South Thames Divide

South London relies heavily on the Overground and National Rail, while North London is dominated by the Tube. A Thermometer question executed on a northbound Victoria Line train from Victoria to Euston will create an east-west bisector that cleanly separates South London from North London.

2. The Elizabeth Line Speed Hack

The Elizabeth Line cuts travel time across London in half. Seekers can travel from Paddington to Liverpool Street in just 10 minutes. If hiders go to East London thinking seekers cannot catch them in time, a quick hop on the "Lizzie Line" closes the gap instantly.

Safety and Transit Etiquette

  • Stand on the right on escalators, always.
  • Tap in and out with contactless card, Oyster, or mobile wallet. Keep your ticket handy.
  • Hiders must remain in public outdoor spaces within a quarter-mile of their final station.
  • Avoid crowded platforms during the morning (07:30–09:30) and evening (17:00–18:30) peak commute.
