How the Radar Question Works
The Radar question is one of the most foundational cards in real-world hide-and-seek. When seekers ask a Radar question, they specify a distance radius around their current position. The question asks: "Are the hiders within X distance of our location?"
Strategic Tips for Radar Questions
- The 50% Rule: The strongest Radar question is one where the circle covers roughly half of the remaining viable hiding locations. Whether the answer is Yes or No, you eliminate half the map.
- Ruling Out Transit Terminals: If hiders had enough time to reach the end of a train line, a large Radar ring placed near city center can determine whether they took a regional train outward or stayed in town.
- Avoid Edge Overlap: If your circle extends far beyond the agreed playable boundary, part of the question's area is wasted on land nobody can hide in.
