How a Radar question works
The seekers pick a distance and ask: "Are you within this distance of us?" A Yes means the hiders are inside the circle around the seekers. A No means they're somewhere outside it.
Tips
- The best ring covers about half of the places the hiders could still be. Then either answer cuts the map roughly in half.
- Check where the ring crosses the places the hiders could still be. If all those places are already on the same side of the ring, the answer won't narrow your search much.
- Don't let the circle run far past the border. Any part of it outside the play area tells you nothing.

How does Near handle Radar?
In the Near app, the seekers choose Radar, pick a preset or their own distance and send it. Near works out the distance between the teams privately. Once the hiders confirm the answer, Near draws the circle and shades the part of the seekers' map that's ruled out.
